Podcast: The Lions, Mitrovic and the War-drobe

23rd April 2018

Fulham ultimately ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at The Den courtesy of a sensational second-half suffocation of the Lions, but only after a battling first 45 had been endured by the 11 on the pitch and the 2200 in the away end.

Ultimately, it wasn’t enough to leave the Whites in the automatic spot they so desperately crave, as Cardiff City got another scrappy three points against a much-improved Nottingham Forest side, but the result proves Fulham’s ruthless side this season and shows why no side will fancy their chances against us in the playoffs.

We talk all things regarding the win at The Den, including Millwall’s famous atmosphere, the performance of referee Andre Marriner, some brilliant defending, and of course, three fantastic goals which took the game beyond the hosts and the points back to South West London.

There’s time to discuss Tim Cahill, our latest pantomime villain; the Cardiff City performance against Forest; the Bluebirds’ forthcoming trip to Derby County; and the latest playoff picture—as well as ruminating on Fulhamish’s own weekend performance, as we put Fulham Focus to the sword in a game to support the #Fulham2BirminghamWalk.

As ever, there’s a host of questions, including the wider state of play for some of the squad, who we really wouldn’t fancy in the playoff semi-finals, and how this side might have fared in the Premier League this season.
