Before The Whistle: Southampton v Fulham

Southampton v Fulham | Sat 3.00PM | Premier League
It’s been two long months, but our talismanic and incomparable Aleksandar Mitrovic finally returns to the fold, as the Whites travel to St. Mary’s, looking for their first league win on the South Coast since 1935.
And you could argue there’ll never be a better chance. Anything short of a win will see relegation confirmed for the Saints, who’ve endured a torrid campaign. Meanwhile, a win for us will see us breach the 50-point mark for only the fourth time in the Premier League.
You would expect a fully rested and presumably fit Mitro to slot back into the starting XI, despite Carlos Vinicius’s improvement giving Marco “a very good headache” as he outlined in his presser yesterday.
Other than that, there isn’t likely to be too many more changes, with Silva likely favouring Reed in a game where you’d expect us to dominate.
Good luck to those braving the disrupted trains to make it – hopefully the boys reward your bravery. You Whites.
