Before The Whistle: Fulham v Everton
Written by Drew Heatley on 30th January 2024

Back to the grind.
It’s ‘time to focus on the league’ on Tuesday as we welcome Everton to Craven Cottage. We’ve enjoyed our recent encounters with the Toffees; we’ve won our last three games in all competitions – all at Goodison Park, and we’re unbeaten in four overall.
That all points to a 1-0 home defeat, of course. I’m just joking. I hope.
The headline coming out of Marco’s presser is that Harry Wilson is out for two-to-three weeks after injuring his shoulder against Newcastle on Saturday night. Adama Traore is training with the squad again, but it’s too soon for him to provide some cover. That’s a lot of pressure on Willian and Bobby De Cordova-Reid.
Silva says he’s assessing the players ahead of this game, with two cup matches in four days sapping a lot of energy from the squad. Nevertheless, expect the starting XI to be closer to the one that started the League Cup semi.
A win could lift us above Bournemouth into 12th, if only for a day or so. A loss would bring Everton within four points of us – despite their 10-point deduction. No pressure, then. You Whites.
