Before The Whistle: Leicester City v Fulham
Written by Drew Heatley on 17th January 2025
We begin again at the King Power Stadium.
Our nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end against West Ham, but we have the chance to put it right against bottom-of-the-table Leicester, who just suffered their sixth defeat in a row.
You can say what you like about jinxing it, or it being Fulhamish that we’ll fall to the Foxes on Saturday, but the fact is that we should head to the East Midlands and return with three points. Anything less is a disappointment.
There haven’t been many moments of disappointment this term, but Tuesday night at the London Stadium certainly was. Nevertheless, all thoughts now turn to Saturday and the imminent return of Sander Berge, who’s been missed in recent games. Slotting back in alongside Sasa Lukic could mean a return to the bench for Andreas Pereira, with Smith Rowe in the 10.
Aside from that, it’ll probably be largely the same XI as we fielded in East London, as we look to avenge our first loss since November.
There aren’t many better opportunities in the Premier League to do that than this. You Whites.
