A Call To Arms

Gallipoli. 1915. Australian troops attempt to storm the beach, and lose almost 8000 men. Yet over time, a tactical defeat became a nation defining event, where the virtues of courage, and helping out your mates were formed. And it demonstrates that there is such thing as losing, and losing.

Five Thoughts: Fulham 0-3 Manchester United

If you squint at a picture of Claudio Ranieri, you'll notice that he resembles a certain someone. An individual that also dons thick framed spectacles with a shock of grey hair. Twigged it? No matter what angle or perspective you glance at the dumbfounded Italian, shuddering comparisons of Felix Magath creep into the forefront of our vision.

Five Thoughts: Crystal Palace 2-0 Fulham

Gravity's a killer. Sniped from a great height by Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace, Claudio Ranieri's Fulham swiftly reacquainted themselves with the earth's crust after sidling through a Premier League fixture that they simply had to win or draw at the very least. We thought that we'd turned a corner following Tuesday's heroics against Brighton & Hove Albion, but this campaign evidently has many chicanes to scale in Nürburgring proportions.

Fulhamish Round Table – January Transfer Window

The January transfer window slammed shut on Fulham, and a period that promised so much with the public backing of the owner to Claudio Ranieri and the Director of Football promising to work "tirelessly" to provide multiple signings. Unfortunately neither were delivered.

If you were chilled to the bone on the way up to Craven Cottage on Tuesday evening, I bet you were glowing with a fizzing sense of delight on the journey back to your homes after witnessing what was undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating encounters our grand, alluring stadium has hosted in recent years. January Transfer Rumour Round-Up: Part 3

We're in desperate need of some fresh faces aren't we? No matter what Claudio Ranieri has implemented since taking the reins from Slavisa Jokanovic, Fulham are still a terribly fragile collective that are flirting, dangerously, with relegation to the Championship after one solitary season back in the esteemed confines of the Premier League.

Five Thoughts: Fulham 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Normality painfully resumed down by the river and what a thunderous jab in the gut that is to announce. Harry haunts the Cottage once again, and it's not even the usual suspect, either. Tottenham Hotspur, depleted and diminished, still managed to march away from the banks of the Thames with three points in their back pocket, but it's the manner in which we gifted them the spoils that stings the most.
